Thai and I. The story of a globe-trotter in South East Asia

As I'm going to be travelling around for a while, I want to share my experience of Thailand, with some advice on what to do and where to go but also tell you more about what happened here and funny stories. Love you guys and don't forget to enjoy your life as much as you can!

DAY112: from Yangon to Bangkok, Thai Smile airways, one night in Bangkok

11.30am: This is the end. Soon I'll be out of Myanmar. What I'll remember from this country is the extreme kidness of the people. They are for sure the sweetest. Bagan was absolutely stunning. And those last few days turned out to be one of the bests when I didn't expect much from going back from Inlé lake. Once again, I met delightful travel buddies - mostly - and discovered a culture that deserves to be known.

3.30pm: Onboard the aircraft to Bangkok. Am flying Thai Smile airways today and it's a good surprise. First, it's a very comfortable aircraft with lots of room for the legs. Second, they served us lunch - if I had known, I would never have eaten the $3 worth tuna sandwich at the airport. Third, they broadcast 'Just for laughs' on the shared screens. And I do love candid camera, I was laughing so hard. The best way to pass the time :-) Last but not least, they have good music during landing and take off. My favorite flight ever!

5.30pm: I love Bangkok airport, I love Thailand . It feels a bit like home already. And I booked a fancy hotel for my last night in Asia. Exciting!

7pm: Booked a hotel next to the subway to be convenient but couldn't find it, so after walking around for 50 min, I'm in the taxi that will take me there. Epic fail! The taxi driver and his GPS also look kind of lost which is not a good sign.

7.15pm: Eventually made it with a helpless driver. But the hotel is very fancy!

0am: Do you remember the Kangaroo team? The cutest Australian couple ever that I met in Hoi An. That's who I spent the evening and night with. It's very lucky coincidence because it was not meant to be but Mel asked me something about Pattaya. That's how I realized they were in Thailand, and specifically Bangkok. Such a nice surprise! They introduced my to their Australian friend Yvette. She was soooo kind. She's been travelling in France, Spain and Italy for 7 weeks for El Camino and said It was the time of her life, especially thanks to the people she met. I have exactly the same feeling! We drank, then we played pool but on top of it all, we laughed really hard. The Kangaroos were actually even cuter when he tried to explain her how to play! It was the perfect way to spend my last night here. I probably said that too many times but I feel so blessed for having met so many amazing buddies. Plus Yvette told me I had an American accent again. Don't know where that comes from. I couldn't feel better, this world is full of happiness, love and friendship!
